Fecal Occult Blood/Transferrin Joint Test

NOVAtest® Fecal Occult Blood/Transferrin Joint Test is a professional immunochromatographic assay for qualitative simultaneous detection of human hemoglobin and transferrin in fecal specimens.

Gastrointestinal bleeding, often presenting as occult blood without visible stool changes, is a key early sign of various gastrointestinal diseases—including colorectal carcinoma, colon polyps, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Colorectal carcinoma, one of the most common and deadly cancers globally, frequently exhibits occult bleeding in its early stages, making timely detection critical for improving survival rates.

NOVAtest® Fecal Occult Blood/Transferrin Joint Test is a professional in vitro diagnostic assay that simultaneously detects hemoglobin and transferrin in feces via the double-antibody sandwich method. The combined use of these two biomarkers enhances positivity rates in colorectal cancer screening, with transferrin offering greater stability than hemoglobin in the digestive tract. This manual test features over 96.6% overall clinical agreement, no cross-reactivity, and detection limits of 200ng/mL (hemoglobin) and 40ng/mL (transferrin), providing reliable support for early gastrointestinal bleeding screening and auxiliary diagnosis of related diseases, with results to be combined with clinical findings for comprehensive judgment.

This device is performed manually. Performance of the test is limited to laboratory professional use.
